Orpington-based Demolition contractor H Smith has won a contract to remove asbestos at the Palace of Westminster.

The deal covers comprehensive asbestos removal, encapsulation and decontamination services throughout the Parliamentary Estate in line with all legal requirements.

It is not thought Parliament will need to close during the works.
