He will be reporting to executive vice president Terry Muckian.

Davies is currently an operations leader at Laing O’Rourke. Before that he was director of major projects (science & health) at ISG.

“James brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision that aligns perfectly with our ambitions,” said Terry Muckian. “His proactive approach, customer focus and deep sector knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to solidify Skanska’s leadership position in these dynamic markets. We are pleased to welcome James to our team and look forward to seeing his impact on our strategy.”

James Davies said: “Skanska has a strong legacy in the UK, having delivered significant projects across the commercial sector as well as critical national infrastructure. The company’s culture, international reach, and the variety of projects currently underway is exciting, and I’m eager to get started. I also look forward to building strong relationships with our supply chain and customers, working closely with teams across the UK business to create new opportunities for growth.”
