In the year 31st March 2025, during most of which it was owned by the Conway family, FM Conway grew turnover by 5% to £608m (2024: £580m) and pre-tax profit by 12% to £33.0m (2024: £29.4m).
Operating profit was £46.1 (2024: £42.9m), a record high for the business.
During the year FM Conway started the expansion of its Gravesend bitumen terminal, received planning consent for a new asphalt plant and completed the renewal of its drainage treatment plant at is Dartford depot.
Projects delivered during the year in London included public realm enhancements on Sloane Street, the re-stabilisation of Hammersmith Bridge, the refurbishment of the Piccadilly underpass, resurfacing works in Trafalgar Square and the reconstruction of Parliament Hill athletics track.
The Conway family sold the business to Vinci Construction on 31st January 2025, nearly three years after Joanne Conway took over running the business on the death of father Michael Conway. FM Conway Limited retains its own operating identity, however.
