Komatsu’s latest compact wheeled loader has multiple loader linkage options to boost its versatility.
Before it entered mass production, Komatsu intensified its testing programme, extending the standard 100 hours of testing to a 500 hour trial.
Developed and produced by Komatsu Germany GmbH in Hannover, the WA170M-11 is now available with two different loader linkages following rigorous testing. In addition to the classic Z-kinematics, Komatsu is offering its Tool Linkage kinematics, known from larger models, for the first time in this class.
Henrik von Werder, product manager at Komatsu Europe, explains: "Offering our Tool Linkage kinematics for the WA170M-11 means the machine can be used flexibly with existing attachments and across a wide variety of tasks, creating additional value for our customers.”

Senior product manager Michael Wadsack adds: "Testing our machines in real jobsite applications is essential to meeting our strict quality standards. This approach ensures our products deliver the reliability and performance our customers depend on."
Since the market launch at Bauma in April 2025, the WA170M-11 has received positive customer feedback, with numerous orders already placed. With the final testing now concluded, Komatsu is looking forward to delivering the first machines to customers.
